Task 1: Policy Analysis Assessment ：a gender lens
You will review a policy document (this will be released on 16 January 2023; due 10 February 2023, 23.55pm) and answer these questions: 1200 words (including references and intext citations), 25% weighting
1.What is this policy document aiming to achieve?
2.Why does the policy argue that family violence should be a ‘protected attribute’?
3.Are there any critical gaps in accounts of family violence that you can identify in the document?
4.Assess the document against its own objectives: how effective do you think it will be in achieving its goals?
Task Objective
You will review an existing policy document that addresses family/gendered violence and examine the use of gender concepts and frameworks used in the document. The objective of this task to develop your capacity to understand how gender is used in different social and policy contexts and build your critical skills in recognising and responding in everyday workplace/community contexts. You should use additional relevant references to support your answers.
