Information Systems in Organisations
Trimester 2 2018
Case Study: Cruise Lines
In this assignment you will work in a group of 3 or 4 students (all group members MUST be
from the same tutorial group) and undertake an information systems case study.
The assignment requires you to apply the skills and knowledge you are acquiring during this
term based on information systems in organisations topics.  Some of these topics include:
business intelligence, e-business, supply chain management, customer relationship
management, business system modelling, system development, impacts, stakeholder
identification, and IT security in an organisational context.
In addition to the disciplinary skills and knowledge mentioned above, the case study is
expected to improve your skills in communication, problem solving, and learning to work with
a professional attitude independently and with others.
You will develop and submit your assignment using Microsoft Word. I recommend you use
the track changes option in Word.
You will need to:
1. Produce a report that includes answers to the assignment questions;
2. Present the interesting findings of your assignment to your tutorial class; and
3. Use a Canvas discussion as groupware to assist your group in collaborating on the
project, and reflect on your experience of how the groupware supported you in the
assignment.
