Applying your understanding of the theories covered in the lectures, seminars and your own research you are required to write a 3,000 word report. Your report should contain:
An evaluation of the role of project management in a modern business environment, through evaluating an existing project plan developed by the MBA students. This should include:
Effective scoping of the issues that are relevant to the project; including an awareness of topical issues;
Selection of academic literature demonstrating an understanding of the key issues within project management.
Demonstrate an understanding of project planning through the development of an alternative project plan which includes the following:
A project plan and overview of key activities. This should include a relevant visual schedule;
A Stakeholder Analysis;
Identify key issues which develop and support the argument with appropriate application of the literature.
Evaluate the contribution of the wider issues through the analysis of risk and the development of a risk mitigation plan detailing how these risks will be managed.
